Communal Grief Rituals
Robert Wood Johnson funded, Multidirectional learning project to explore communal grief rituals around the world. Co-facilitators will share their grief practices and learn from other Elders/Healers/Experts with the goal of developing adapted versions to implement in their communities. Partners sites in Tanzania, Mexico, and the U.S.
Global Health Reimagined: Pathways to Decolonization
Join us as we reimagine global health and work toward more equity & justice. Drs. Shailvi Gupta & Carlos Faerron will be co-facilitating this weekend retreat. Topics include: history of colonialism in global health, inner work (intersecting identities & positionality), community participatory democracy, blending Indigenous & Euro-western sciences, and more. A discussion with local Indigenous leaders will open the retreat and mindfulness practices will take place throughout the weekend.

Awakening Beyond Whiteness | a healing justice program for white-bodied folx
A healing justice program for white-bodied people to explore ancestral traumas, grief, and healing while focusing on action and reparations.
What : A group to examine and repair the social and cultural conversations around whiteness. We will explore “whiteness” and what it means to live in a white body in 2021 while naming the harm and gifts left by our ancestors. There will be space for grief and healing while focusing on action in the form of reparations. This is a healing justice program.
Who: White-bodied/white identified folx

Zoom Sessions: 3 Wednesdays: November 17, 24 & December 1 2021 from 6:30-9pm +
optional Weekend Retreat (Dec. 4 & 5) from 10-4pm.
Location: Hybrid: virtual (Zoom) with an optional weekend retreat in Hampden - Baltimore, MD
Cost: Dana (donation-based). This is a 19.5 hour program
Limit: Unlimited Virtually. 10 people max for in person retreat.
Ancestral Remembrance & Healing
What: No matter where you are in your ancestral healing journey - this is for you. As a group we will explore origin stories, deepen connections with our ancestors, identify what needs healing, and walk the path of the ancestors.
Who: Everyone is welcome

Saturday November 6, 2021 from 11am-5pm
