Hi, I’m Elias

I’ve always danced between worlds. As a queer, cisgender man (he/him/they) with Syrian/Lebanese and mixed European roots, I often think about my place in the world. My path led me to become a professor and nurse practitioner specializing in hospice and palliative care, which deepened my relationship to suffering and Spirit. Disenchanted with the Western medical system, I left the U.S. to learn about other ways of healing.

I sit with Elders, Healers, & Wisdom Keepers from various backgrounds and cultures to learn about their traditions and practices. With their permission I share these teachings. As a white-bodied male, appropriation and legacies of colonialism are often on my mind as I deepen my understanding of these realities and use my medicine and positionally to restore healing justice.

In some ways I feel I’m just beginning this journey of ancestral remembrance, while a part of me knows it’s been happening for lifetimes. I am so excited to share this work with you and learn by your side. This is powerful medicine for our times and whenever you’re ready - I’ll be here.
Our ancestors are waiting…
